Kyle Fearon-Wilson is of Jamaican origin. He grew up in London, where he received a sound musical education at the musical boarding school "The Purcell School for Young Musicians".
After completing violin studies with Prof. Kolja Lessing and Prof. Sarah Christian at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, he began his vocal studies with Gundula Schneider as a baritone in 2019 at the same university, switching to tenor shortly afterwards. In the winter semester 2021/2022 he moved with Gundula Schneider to the Dresden University of Music, where he continues his studies in the field of lied/oratorio and opera. He received musical impulses at master classes given by Prof. Henryk Böhm and Dimitris Tiliakos, among others.
Kyle Fearon-Wilson gained opera experience as a chorister in various opera projects and was given his first solo role as the "bailiff" in Kurt Weill's operetta "der Kuhhandel" at the Isny Opera Festival in summer 2020. From April-May 2022 he sings the role of Dick in the operetta "Street Scene" by Kurt Weill in the university production.
The tenor can be heard in recitals, oratorios and operetta concerts in Karlsruhe, Uelzen, Stuttgart and Dresden.
As co-founder of the project "A Journey Across Times and Diasporas", Kyle Fearon-Wilson is committed to raising awareness of African classical music.
