Kerstin Döring

Mezzosoprano

Born in Pirna in 1984, she received her first musical training in the Dresden Philharmonic Children's Choir and through singing lessons with Thomas Groß at the HSK Dresden.

She studied school music with singing as her main subject with Britta Schwarz-Wegscheider and completed music education singing with Susanne Prager at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden.

Until her diploma in 2011, she worked as a choir assistant for the "Neues Chor Dresden", in which she was active as a vocal coach and soloist in Germany and abroad in addition to working with the choir and conducting rehearsals. As a second subject in conducting, trained by Prof. Jürgen Becker among others, she worked with the Philharmonic Children's Choir Dresden, directs the choir "Blaue Schwerter" e.V. Meißen and teaches as an honorary teacher for choir and singing at the MTK Bannewitz.

She has been a member of the "kammerchor cantamus dresden" since 2004 and sings in the "Vocal Concert Dresden" under the direction of Peter Kopp. The mezzo-soprano is a founding member of the "vocalis ensemble dresden" and works as a freelance music teacher and singer.
