I was born in Halle an der Saale in 1973, moved to Dresden at the age of eight to join the Dresden Kreuzchor.

After graduating from the Kreuzschule Dresden, I did my civilian service at a nursing station in a retirement and nursing home in Hamburg. After a longer stay in Australia and the beginning of my medical studies in Gießen, I studied the UNESCO course "Culture and Management" in Görlitz, graduating in 2004. Subsequently, I obtained my Master of Art at the TU-Dresden in 2006.

Already in 2004 I founded my cultural management company "netzwerk projektziel" together with the pastor Lüder Laskowski. In the years that followed, our Projektziel team mastered countless small and large projects. Examples include the overall marketing of the city anniversary '800 Years of Dresden', the Bach Festival of the Neue Bachgesellschaft in Freiberg, the management of the Dresden Chamber Choir, the German Trombone Day Dresden, the MusikForum Dresden and the annual concert series Musikbrücke Prague-Dresden of the Czech star ensemble Collegium 1704. In 2010, together with the artistic director Hans-Christoph Rademann, I founded the landscape music festival 'Musikfest Erzgebirge', of which I am still the managing director. Since the end of 2019, I have been part of the inner management team of AuditivVokal Dresden in an executive capacity together with the artistic director Olaf Katzer and the ensemble manager Nicole Meier.

In addition to the work in front of and behind the stage, I also enjoy being on stage myself as a singing member of the renowned ensembles: Dresdner Vocal Quartett, Kammerchor cantamus dresden, Thüringischer Akademischer Singkreis (TASK) and Dresdner Kammerchor. Furthermore, I am a passionate BVB fan and love active ball sports of all kinds.
