Making music is a basic existential need for me, a source of confidence and vitality. Since the age of six, playing the piano and singing have filled me with lively joy. I left my hometown Erfurt to study singing in Dresden and made singing on the concert stage my profession.

In addition to the song and oratorio repertoire, contemporary music very quickly aroused my interest. I gained my first experience in this field at Klangforum Heidelberg with Walter Nußbaum. I experienced the first concert with AuditivVokal as a substitute for the festival "ProvinzLärm" 2009 in Eckernförde.

Since then I have been working with Olaf Katzer in mutual human-artistic appreciation. In the course of each project, I look for approaches to connect with the singers of the ensemble, collaborating composers and instrumentalists, and ultimately the listening audience.

What fascinates me about the process of actively interpreting contemporary vocal music is the linking of apparent opposites. Innovation, objectivity and abstraction on the one hand - humanity, emotionality and naturalness on the other. Over time, I have developed special preferences for various elements. These include complex rhythms, percussive parts - with and without material, partial and full-body movement on stage, light and fast-flowing vocalization, and free and bound improvisation.

Since 2015, I have been working in music education with children and adolescents in the special school sector and act, among other things, as a cooperation partner in mediation projects.
