I was a member of the Dresden Kreuzchor and gained solo experience already as a boy soprano. I studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden with Prof. Christiane Junghanns and KS Olaf Bär (Lied class). In 2005 I made my debut as Figaro at the Lausitzer Opernsommer. This was followed in 2007 by the leading role in the Schlüsseloper (premiere) by W. Krätzschmar and in 2008/09 by Papageno in The Magic Flute. The focus of my concert activities throughout Germany is on oratorio and lied. I am particularly interested in the tension between historical...

Burkhard Kosche

I, Burkhard Kosche, bass, completed my vocal studies at the Dresden Academy of Music. There I sang Sarastro ("Die Zauberflöte") and Kasper (Die Schlüsseloper/UA), at the Serkowitz Volksoper also Sarastro and Komthur (Don Giovanni), Balthasar in Schumann's Genoveva at the Semperoper and Marquese d'Obigny (La Traviata) at the Chemnitz Opera.

I gave my first recital in Munich in 2013 at Schloss Nymphenburg. In 2015 I sang the Basso-Profondo in the CD premiere recording of the Augsburg Requiem by Orlando di Lasso.

After the grim Hagen in "Die Lustigen Nibelungen" I now sing Butler Brassett in "Charley's Aunt" at...

When I was about 14, three recordings fell into my lap. My voice teacher gave me two of them: the two great Bach Passions with Herreweghe from the 80s. In addition - from my sister's CD cupboard - came the "Winterreise"; Fischer-Dieskau and Barenboim, late 90s. From then on, these recordings formed my triumvirate. I listened to them constantly, they entered my subconscious and shaped my idea of what listening to classical music can do and mean.

I am the son of a mathematician and an engineer, born in a small town in Saxony a few months before the...

Jan Heinke

Jan Heinke

We mourn the loss of our ensemble member Jan Heinke, who died on 20 April 2022 after a short, serious illness. Our sympathy is with his family. We will honour Jan's memory - his pioneering musical deeds, his vocal curiosity and his joyful humanity will continue to exist in our ensemble. And he will continue to sing his heavenly overtones in the place where they originated - the angels will certainly be happy about his participation!
