Ecos Australes

Based on the South America Tourée, during which AuditivVokal Dresden also travelled to Chile in 2016, the programme "Ecos Australes" is being developed together with Ramón Gorigoitía, in which AuditivVokal Dresden will dedicate itself to Chilean indigenous languages.

The project Ecos Australes aims to give cultural achievements of the indigenous peoples of Chile a new presence through the filter of art. The reverberations of the extinct peoples such as Selknam, Kaweshkar or Yamana and the endless expanses of the south they once inhabited are to find new resonant spaces, as are the cultural voices of those once self-determined peoples who were subjugated and adapted by Chile's syncretic society, such as Mapuche, Aymara or Quechua.

The spiritual heritage of these cultures is to be revived in order to reawaken their essential Andean cosmovision and give voice to their inspiring potential in our modern public sphere. Through the creation of new works for voices that draw from the fund of languages of the primal cultures, as well as their rites, ceremonies and traditions, individually developed sonorities emerge to bring us closer to their historical legacy.

Ticket sales to be announced at a later date!
